Activities at Lake Scugog Camp

Lake Scugog Camp offers many activities taught by qualified instructors, who provide individual attention to every child regardless of skill level. Counsellors travel with their campers to all activities ensuring that each child receives the care and attention that they deserve. While mornings are spent with their cabin mates, each afternoon campers participate in ‘campers choice’ a time where campers can personalize their activities, gain new skills and interact with new campers and staff.

Afternoons are spent in small, personalized groups so that campers are able to participate in individualized activities such as learning to play the guitar, painting their nails, specialized art programming or increasing their kayaking skills. Our staff’s specialized skills shine during campers choice where they are able to share their hobbies and interests with others. This combination enables children and youth to enjoy the security and partnership of a cabin group while also allowing them to experience independence and allows them to develop a wider range of camping skills.

We pride ourselves in the safety of our equipment and the skill levels of our instructors. Our campers are constantly encouraged to grow from new challenges and friendships. At Lake Scugog Camp, we aim to foster creativity, and co-operation in our future generations so that they may lead creative purposeful lives.
